I would refer anyone facing criminal charges to Mr. Scoggins! I talked to several attorneys before choosing Scoggins because I was facing several felony charges in two counties and I was obviously extremely scared about my future. The first time I talked to Mr. Scoggins I immediately felt at ease and not because he was sugar coating the severity of my crimes but because he immediately started talking to me about possible solutions rather than trying to scare me about the possibility of going to prison, while the other well known Dallas attorneys seemed like they were trying to scare me into hiring them. He genuinely seemed concerned and even discussed careers I could go into if I were to be convicted.
I immediately knew this was who I wanted to represent me. I was also surprised that he literally quoted me almost a third of what the other attorneys did. He answered all my questions and would meet me anytime to discuss my cases. Basically I started out with 7 drug-related offenses and he got me probation… I messed up a couple different times but he still gave several options to help me stay on probation… he definitely goes above and beyond because at that point he had no obligation to do so. In the end I was still granted probation with 6 months rehab and of course I left and got another felony…so of course I rehired him to take care of that as well of course by this point the only option I had was another 6 months rehab with 3 or possibly 5 years probation or 2 years TDCJ (which was completely my doing). I chose to take my time and I do believe for the amount of charges I was facing I got off pretty well.
I went from 8 felonies to 4 because he got half of them dismissed. Now that it’s said and done I believe spending 11 months in TDC probably saved my life and definitely changed me for the better.
Mr. Scoggins is passionate about his career and very professional. He tells it like it is, always answers phone, emails, and texts asap…I felt like he actually cared about me as a client and he did everything he could to keep me from going to prison and if I would have took his advice I wouldn’t have ended up there. I hope I never need an attorney again, but if I do he would be the one.
Arguably the best of the best. David Scoggins is a man of his word. He speaks to you directly with firm confidence. He will not tell you something you want to hear just to keep your business. It’s white or black but there will never be any gray areas just to sell hopes and dreams. Mr. Scoggins was recommended to us in 1992 or 1993. Since that incident we have never looked into, thought about, much less went to someone different for second opinions.
Most recently he reduced a plea deal from 5 years to 3. Two years to the date of my probation beginning he filed a motion for early dismissal of my probation. Mr. Scoggins prepared for a week or more. My probation officer said she was fine with me being off. Even though the Judge was tough, she was willing to dismiss my probation early. BUT the DA was lingering and playing around with “wording and technicalities”. Mr. Scoggins was beyond prepared for those needle in the haystack and silenced the DA to a point where I saw the DA feel like he was outclassed and nowhere near Mr. Scoggins level.
I’ve recommended people to him and the outcomes have been positive. Let’s be sincere MOST of the time when we contact Mr. Scoggins it’s because we did something we shouldn’t have. So I mention positive outcomes, that means that considering the situation we put ourselves in the outcomes are better than you expected.
Every time I had a question or concern they were answered directly and honestly. Not once did he avoid me or make me feel like my case wasn’t important to him. Though he has thousands of cases going instantaneously he makes you feel, and GIVES yours the attention necessary like if your case was the only one he was working on. No matter the time of day or night he rises to the occasion. Whether he ask you to come to his office or responds through text. From personal and close experience he is highly recommended and though I’m on the track to never need him, I wouldn’t go anywhere else if it came to it! Last but not least he doesn’t make promises but tells you EXACTLY what’s going to happen.
A Great Attorney
David has been my family lawyer for a long time. He is always very helpful when I have found myself in a bind. He is easy to get a hold of and always keeps me updated. He just recently got me off probation 2 years early. Thanks David.
Deserves to be governor
I hired Mr. Scoggins and if it wasn’t for him I would be serving time. The best attorney ever seen! He always kept me informed and told me that I was going to be fine. He is a true gentleman and great attorney.
I have recommended David to family and friends that have found themselves in trouble. He helped me through a time that I found myself in trouble. He got me on three years probation and after half way through that, he got the probation dropped and the case dismissed. Always returns phone calls and emails. Makes sure you’re informed at all times during the process. Very reassuring at all times. Worth every penny spent. I’d like to thank him again for his help!
A savior on earth!
A savior on earth! I got in a little bit of trouble with the federal government and Mr. Scoggins saved my bacon in more ways than I can even begin to explain. David went above and beyond his duties as an attorney to do everything he could to save me from the clutches of the government. If you need a federal attorney look no further. Mr. Scoggins is the best lawyer and kind hearted hard-working man I’ve ever known. Thank you David for everything you did for me. You are truly a blessing.
